Design houses light and airy, maybe it was the initial concept of architect Richard Meier and his partner Michael Palladino build this seaside house. Located on the coast of Southern California, this house directly overlooking the South Pacific Ocean, a large courtyard on the west and Pacific Coast Highway in the north. A strategic location for waterfront homes are spacious and comfortable right? With area of 4280 sq. ft. This house covered by white walls and spacious glass. Wood floors and light brown carpet adds light and modern in this house. Large green courtyard limit between the two buildings, and there open spaces to enjoy the beach and the ocean breeze outdoors.
The roof of the house given sun protection glass and louvers, providing unlimited views to enjoy the blue sky. Glass wall that present in each room to bring home sea view into the house. On the upper floor a balcony directly overlooking the sea, and bridge that connects the main house with guest house. According to Richard Meier as an architect, “This cadence is repeated with the joinery of the painted aluminum exterior wall panels and modular windows. The mass of the exterior plaster walls are juxtaposed to the transparent glazed facades, creating a mosaic of layered materials”. It’s really modern and luxurious home on the beach. [via]
