Gorgeous ITC Royal Gardenia Get LEED Platinum

A joint project by Delhi based architecture firm Rajinder Kumar & Associates, London based Interior designer Francesca Basu, and Dehli based energy and sustainability consultants Environmental Design Solutions (EDS), made World’s Largest LEED Platinum Hotel. The ITC Royal Gardenia is the hotel with luxury and contemporary design that concurrently manages to achieve eco friendly status.
The wind pool atrium lobby introduces visitors to green design through elements like green vertical walls, sustainably made furnishings, and a large span of green fabric suspended from the ceiling. The restaurants on the ground floor include the multi pillared lotus pavilion, inspired by the Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan, with parrot shaped pillar adornments and a sloping green roof. The Cubbon Pavillion, a tribute to the famous Cubbon Park of Bengaluru, is highlighted by high green vertical walls.
The L-shaped hotel sites on 4.5 acres of land and features 292 rooms spread over 11 floors, where each floor maintains its own theme, such as stone, earth, wood, water and fire. Moreover, each theme is aptly depicted through carefully chosen pictures, motifs, textures and fabrics. Guests also enjoy a green experience through the eco-friendly mini bars, eco-toiletries, recycled paper stationery, and are eco-friendly spas.
