    Harpa concert hall will have a capacity for 1,800 people

    Iceland’s currency may be devalued, but fortunately, the same thing does not happen on the desire for art and culture of the country. the capital, Reykjavik, will soon welcome the Harpa Concert Hall & Conference Center is designed Henning Larsen Architects and Artec with Ólafur Eliasson.

    Regarded as one of the most ambitious cultural projects the state has done over the years, this magnificent new building will be the new home of Iceland Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and Opera. A modern sleek glass-fronted multi-faceted Harpa also provide adequate amounts of natural light inside and has a unique LED lights that provide light at night the structure of Icelandic.

    Harpa concert hall will have a capacity for 1,800 people, and will be marked with a red interior light of the basic space. However, the glass facade of the building that defines the structure is absolutely amazing.

    A glass mosaic inspired by basalt columns found crystallized in Iceland, this façade will create a kaleidoscope of reflections from the surface that extends from the city with the surrounding landscape and provide even more soft and daily climate variations created by Mother Nature. Transparency of glass is also animates the interior with natural light, reducing energy costs of buildings. Finally, an LED lighting module that integrates customized color light emitting and long after sunset.

    Once completed, Harpa established itself as a center of rebuilding a bigger city and revitalization initiatives taking place in the historic port of Reykjavik and the beach. The city is hoping the new room will become a symbol of the new energy that will enhance and strengthen the capital with a mix of concerts, exhibitions, conventions, public programs and receptions.
