One of the pioneers innovative print Jennifer Siegal of public schools to mod beach house. This time, the Office of Mobile Design has the courage to install the interior with the latest design, the Showhouse printing. Previously located in Venice, CA where he served as OMD’s showroom to want to know the client, the tiny modular maison recently moved from coastal locations to be installed in the desert community of Joshua Tree where he will become the new home for the Hollywood film producer Chris Hanley.
Green technologies such as tankless water heaters, radiant heat ceiling panels, and translucent poly carbonate sheets artfully balanced with high-end facilities such as iPort integrated sound system, Boffi kitchens and Duravit bathroom equipment. Kirei natural and sustainable materials such as boards, bamboo and coconut floors are also incorporated into the design.

The 720 sf, 1 bedroom house is located in Joshua Tree a generous lot size 80 acres. Besides solitude, tranquility, and bird’s-eye view of the surrounding desert, the house offers the best in new technology and luxurious details. Central kitchen / bath core divides and separates the bedroom from the dining / living space in a compact set of form and function. Steel frame structure was sent to the site and only the basic set for a while.
With this desert pied-a-terre, OMD proves that the idea of prefabrication, flexibility, portability and compact spaciousness can be combined to create off-the-grid living perfectly comfortable.
